Repair, don't throw away

At SpeicherArt, we stand for durability and sustainability. That's why our commitment to our products doesn't end with the 5-year warranty on the LEDs. Should a defect occur after that, we choose repair over disposal. For a small fee, we'll repair your floor lamp, so it stays with you for a long time and doesn't end up in the bin.

A big advantage: we make our floor lamps entirely in our own workshop. That means we know every component and can replace parts or carry out repairs quickly and flexibly. So you not only save money, you're also doing something good for the environment.

There is still a great deal of untapped potential in the sustainable use of solid wood. It is often burned prematurely, even though it has a long remaining lifespan and serves as a CO2 store. We give reclaimed wood a second chance by restoring and reusing it. This gives the reclaimed wood a special charm and a unique character. Each of our reclaimed wood floor lamps tells its own story and contributes to the sustainable use of resources.

Our home accessories are not only aesthetically pleasing but also in harmony with nature: a conscious choice for your home and the environment.

The longevity of our lamps

Every solid wood board is a CO2 store, and our goal is to lock this CO2 away for the long term. Thanks to first-class quality and expert woodworking, our products achieve a long lifespan, which benefits both you and the climate. The wood stays alive, responsive and robust. We rely 100% on solid wood, which can be easily repaired and is therefore extremely durable. Solid wood is also excellently reusable, allowing new home accessories to be made from it. Plastic veneers, fibreboard, chipboard and varnishes are not an option for us. Instead, we finish the surface of our home accessories with pure organic linseed oil. This oil gives the wood a subtle sheen, highlights its natural structure and protects against moisture, stains and dirt without sealing the pores. Our emphasis on sustainability shapes every step of our work. Choosing sustainability is our commitment to the environment, and we strive to bring this principle to life in all our home accessories.

Benefits of solid wood

One outstanding aspect of solid wood is its sustainability as a renewable raw material that is inexhaustible when used responsibly. Wood products make a valuable contribution to long-term climate protection. Wood has the unique ability to absorb carbon dioxide from the air and reduce CO2 levels. Every cubic metre of wood stores around one tonne of CO2. When wood is used to make floor lamps, the carbon remains locked in for the entire lifespan of the lamp. Your floor lamp or pendant light thus becomes a permanent carbon store. Solid wood not only brings natural warmth and beauty, it also improves the indoor climate through its regulating properties, which affect both humidity and temperature. Wood can absorb heat and release it again on cooler days. Solid wood also has an antibacterial effect.
